RUSSIA IS SANCTIONED. UNLESS WE NEED DIESEL.

Trump announced a deal for Russia to supply more than 300,000 tons of diesel immediately. The country whose energy revenues America wanted to restrict has been contacted about its availability.
Treasury temporarily authorized Russian diesel imports, and diesel futures fell almost 5% on the announcement. Analysts questioned lasting relief for consumers. The diplomatic principle now comes with a fuel-price adjustment.
“The sanctions remain firm. Please use the deliveries entrance.”
BRITAIN REPLACES GENIUS WITH A HEDGEHOG.

Britain’s next banknotes will replace historical figures with a puffin, an owl, a bumblebee and a hedgehog. Britain has spent centuries producing some of the greatest writers, scientists, and artists of human civilization. It has selected a hedgehog instead.
The Bank of England received 478,531 consultation responses before choosing the animals. The new notes are still years away. This gives the hedgehog time to produce a novel, although apparently this is no longer required.
“The owl has declined to submit a bibliography.”
HERE’S YOUR MEDAL. STOP HIRING PEOPLE LIKE YOU.

The administration announced a suspension of PERM processing for Microsoft and seven other companies. That freezes one route toward employer-sponsored permanent residency. The welcome mat now requires a separate departmental review.
Hours later, Trump awarded Microsoft’s India-born CEO Satya Nadella the National Medal of Technology and Innovation. Microsoft received a congratulations and a processing suspension. Both appear to have been delivered successfully.
“Please collect your medal from the department that has not spoken to the other department.”
⁉️ MILKY WHY
AI DID THE MATH. HUMANS GOT THE HOMEWORK.
OpenAI has released a vast collection of claimed advances on open mathematical research questions. Some could be major breakthroughs; the humans now have to establish which results hold, understand the arguments, and work out what they unlock.

The current collection contains 719 manuscripts, produced using an internal AI model. These include related results and companion papers, not 719 separately solved problems. The machine has handed in its work. The marking pile is now a landscape feature.
OpenAI has withdrawn three manuscripts after a sign error and reports 300 top-line results formalized in proof-checking software. The collection still needs scrutiny. Even a civilization outsourcing thought still needs someone to check the minus signs.
OpenAI plans to fund workshops and programs to help humans understand major AI-generated results. The invention intended to answer difficult questions has produced a new one: how many conferences does it take to read the answer?
“Humanity requested a shortcut to knowledge. Attendance is compulsory.”
📊 TERRA DATA
AMERICAN INNOVATION. SOME ASSEMBLY ABROAD.

Of the six tech leaders honored at the White House science summit, five immigrated to the United States. Michael Dell was the one born there. The medals covered science as well as technology and innovation.
The Bureau recommends checking the supply chain before congratulating the factory.
🗳️ WEEKLY PROBE POLL
HOW MANY OF THE SIX TECH HONOREES IMMIGRATED TO AMERICA?
Readers who inspected the previous chart have an unfair advantage called reading.

(answer at the bottom of dossier)
This week, humans requested fuel from a sanctioned supplier, promoted a hedgehog over their cultural achievements, decorated an immigrant while restricting his company’s immigration pipeline, and built a machine that assigned them homework. We continue to observe. Our reading list has expanded.
